SOS Sierra Leone was started in 1974 and currently houses at least 177 children and youths.
Ujima For Africa Inc. (UFAD) is a non-profit organization founded in 2000 by a group of dedicated Africans living in the United States. Its focus is on Development in Africa.
Sierra Visons is another NGO focused on development in Africa. It maintains its focus through Technology, Tourism, Trade, Training and Transportation.
International Education & Resource Network, Sierra Leone (iEARN) seeks to serve and rehabilitate youths who have suffered from war and war's effects.

Sierra Leone War Trust for Children promotes education, health, rehabilitation and self-sufficiency of children and youth affected by war in Sierra Leone through advocacy and the provision of financial and technical support.
